The managing partner of Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams served as CEO of the company, co-founded by Hollywood actor Kevin Costner last summer. John W. Houghtaling explains that Ocean Therapy Solutions (OTS) emerged in the limelight during their leadership in the recent Gulf Oil spill clean up. “Centrifuge systems,” says John W. Houghtaling “is a potential safety ‘go-to’ for the oil industry.”

According to John W. Houghtaling, Costner had been investing in the technology for nearly fifteen years. “The technology, the centrifuge technology, with Kevin’s [Costner] financial backing had been in development,” explains John W. Houghtaling, who served as CEO in the early days of the company. The technology that separates the water from oil is under a patent, adds John W. Houghtaling.
